Drawing on selections from her solo album Ghost Pipe, Tamalyn Miller leads with voice and her handmade horsehair fiddle, joined by Irman Peck on cello to invoke the presence and mystery of beneficial and pernicious forces in nature. Together they summon a visionary soundscape that ranges from psychedelic folk to Victorian parlor, a disorienting unveiling of tales whispered by the woods. “There is a subtle and rustic magick being conjured and at work here, with these tracks feeling like sigils made from leaves, twigs, and spider silk.
