'Etudes' Study Group: Ningrui Liu aka Akira (voice) · Felix X Tigersonic (bass/electronics) · Jo Morrison (voice). An experimental voice-and-electronics ensemble exploring structured improvisation through the lens of the etude form.  |  Torio:  Freeland Green (words/found sounds) · Dominic Thurston (voice) · Tim Sayer (trumpet/electronics) A trio working at the intersection of spoken word, extended vocal technique, and live electronics. members of the Lo-fi Ensemble will be taking over the Love Affair Basement on Wednesday night. Ghost Mind will be improvising scores to a short section of The Colour of Pomegranates (1969) originally known as Sayat-Nova, Soviet Armenian avant-garde film written and directed by Sergei Parajanov, and a short film by Man Ray. The ‘Etudes’ Study Group will be experimenting in their inimitable style and distinctive flair. And a premier performance for a new group Torio.
