More about this event
Urban Encounters: Photography, Ethnography and the City was a two-day conference, exhibition and workshop programme held at Goldsmiths, University of London. It brought together international photographers, artists and academics working across photographic practice, visual research, urban sociology and cultural theory. Six conference panels explored urban landscapes, architecture, portraiture and identity, street photography, visual ethnography and emerging forms of urban photographic practice.
