City to Sea – Bognor Regis Walk

The City to Sea Symposium one-day workshops took place in the British seaside resorts of Bognor Regis, Hastings, Margate and Southend. The workshops explored how regeneration and planning processes, tourism, migration, collective memory, visual archives and art interventions can transform visual and social perceptions of British cities, coastal towns and surrounding regions.

Each workshop was lead by photographers/artists affiliated with the Centre for Urban and Community Research, Goldsmiths, University of London. Workshop leaders had personal links with each town either as residents or through arts projects and practice.
